POLKADOT
✔ Polkadot released Rococo Development Recap (March 5, 2021). Key Updates include:
- A chain restart is planned early next week to include new network optimizations.
- After the chain restart, 20 validators will be added a day, targeting a total of 200 validators to test network stability.
- 11 parachains currently connected — Tick, Trick, Track, Darwinia, PolkaBTC, Phala Network, Acala Network, Plasm Network, Crust Network, Kilt Protocol and Hydra DX.
- XCMP testing between parachain teams is ramping up with the community significantly contributing to fixing issues and discussing requirements for XCMP Lite. • V0 XCMP Fee implementation is in the early stage of being implemented.
✔ Ledger Live has integrated Polkadot!
Previously, Ledger Nano S and Nano X devices were supported when used in conjunction with Polkadot-JS Apps. Now, users have the option of managing their accounts and interacting with the network, including staking DOT, from within the Ledger Live application using their Leger hardware device to sign transactions. Also Ledger Live offers a convenient new way for DOT holders to nominate Polkadot validators and earn staking rewards.

INTERLAY
Interlay announced that the PolkaBTC Public Beta Testnet is now live.
The 1st PolkaBTC Beta Challenge — Treasure Hunt was started. The prize pool is 500 DOT for the first 500 submissions. How to participate.
ACALA
HydraDX, a cross-chain liquidity protocol, and Acala have successfully completed a cross-chain token transfer on Polkadot testnet using xcmp. HydraDX is now Composable with Acala. Tweet.
PLASM
Plasm Network announced that Block Dream Fund, an investment institution under OKEx, has invested in Plasm Network and has joined the Plasm Network ecosystem. One of the future collaboration areas could be on the Parachain Lease Offering on both Kusama and Polkadot.
MOONBEAM
✔ Moonbeam will be working with the Parity team to initially port the Balancer protocol to Moonbeam. They are looking for developers or a team that is interested in becoming the team that maintains the Balancer deployment on Moonbeam and Polkadot. Grants will be provided by both Balancer and Moonbeam to the team that is selected to work on this project.
✔ Moonbeam, announced an initial integration with Subscan, a Substrate-based block explorer. Now users of Moonbase Alpha, the Moonbeam TestNet, can use Subscan to view and verify on-chain data. Additionally, as a long-term partnership, the Moonbeam and Subscan teams will work together to add advanced EVM functionality to the block explorer over time, which will benefit Moonbeam users and users of any other Frontier-based parachains on Polkadot and Kusama.
SHIFT

✔ CRU Token Announcement: in order to prepare for the mainnet launch and to better reflect the token distribution of CRU, Crust Network has generated 17,999,990 CRU in accordance with the CRU token distribution of the White Paper. Source.

ENERGY WEB
✔ Energy Web and Volkswagen Group Innovation announced a partnership. The parties will jointly develop and test open-source software to enable seamless end-to-end electricity market participation for electric vehicles.
✔ Energy Web Token (EWT) now listed on Kraken exchange.
STAFI
✔ StaFi Protocol officially released the rDOT product, that will solve the liquidity problem of the staked $DOT. rDOT Token is a staking asset redemption certificate issued by StaFi to users when they stake $DOT through StaFi rDOT product. rDOT tokens are anchored to the DOT assets staked by users and the corresponding staking income. rDOT tokens can be transferred and traded at any times as per the users’ convenience.
✔ Binance listed Stafi ($FIS) in the Innovation Zone and opened FIS/BTC, FIS/BUSD and FIS/USDT trading pairs.
PAID
Attack on the PAID token contract happened on March 5th. An attacker exploited the PAID Network deployer contract to steal over 59 million PAID tokens.

CHAINX
The PolkaX team officially released the ChainX 2.0 desktop client wallet version 2.1.10 on March 3, 2021, which supports Windows, MacOS and Linux systems.
SUBQUERY
SubQuery Network released SubQuery Explorer — an online hosted service that provides access to published SubQuery projects. Now anyone can query and extract Polkadot network data in only minutes and at no cost.
APRON
Apron closed seed and private sale funding rounds.
Seed Round: NGC Ventures, DFG, PAKA, DRF, Candaq, Vega Ventures.
Private Sale Round: CMS holdings, NGC Ventures, DFG,Spark Digital Capital, Republic, AU21 Capital, Vega Ventures.
DTRADE
dTrade (decentralized exchange for derivative products built on Edgeware) has completed a pre-seed round. Investors include Polychain, ParaFi Capital, Hypersphere Ventures, Mechanism Capital, CMS Holdings, AU21, PNYX Ventures and others.
COMPOUND
Compound announced a prototype based on the Compound Chain whitepaper namedGateway. It is a cross-chain interest rate market that allows users to borrow assets native to one chain (e.g. ETH), with collateral from another chain (e.g. CELO).
Gateway is a Substrate blockchain, upgradeable by COMP token-holders on Ethereum, without forks or downtime. Validators earn a portion of all interest: an incentive that scales with the growth of Gateway.
IOST
IOST successfully completed the testnet for cross-chain bridge and is at the final development stage for building a cross-chain transfer bridge to the Polkadot Ecosystem.
PARTNERSHIPS
Phala and Dego will conduct in-depth cooperation in the NFT field, aiming to provide Polkadot with NFT products and gameplay that support mystery boxes, random or encrypted content.
Due to its richly enterprising nature, Clover offers ETHA Lend developers a framework for quickly and efficiently porting the existing Ethereum facing code to the Polkadot ecosystem.
Tidal will help secure users’ assets on UniLend via DeFi insurance products. UniLend will be added into Tidal’s risk pools and Tidal liquidity providers will have increased options when utilizing their liquidity.
As both projects are firmly rooted in Polkadot’s ecology, the two parties will work together to explore possibilities in the field of cross-chain asset transactions.
This partnership will enable Reef users to access DeFi applications developed on Elrond directly through the Reef platform.
